The UMCOR Hotline:
NEWS: NORTH ALABAMA TORNADO RESPONSE
The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is working with the North Alabama Annual Conference to provide relief after tornadoes barged through Alabama on March 18. People living in mobile homes were heavily affected. The conference’s Camp Sumatanga also was damaged.
UMCOR has provided the conference with an emergency grant to help immediate needs and will provide further support as requested.
You can help UMCOR respond immediately and with generosity by giving to US Disaster Response, UMCOR Advance #901670. Funds are particularly needed at this time when spring storms cause floods and spawn tornadoes throughout the United States.
PRAYER: GLOBAL MINISTRIES BOARD MEETING
Pray for the General Board of Global Ministries and UMCOR directors as they prepare to meet April 11-13 to discern the ongoing development of the mission and work of these United Methodist ministries.

RESOURCE: WORLD FAIR TRADE DAY
World Fair Trade Day is May 11 this year with events taking place across North America May 4-19.
Celebrate World Fair Trade Day by hosting an event to increase awareness and encourage friends and family to use fairly traded goods. Fair trade allows farmers and artisans to feed their families, send their children to school, gain access to health care, and much more.
An activity guide with ideas for hosting your own World Fair Trade Day is available from the Fair Trade Resource Network at www.ftrn.org/wftd.
